I bought this file sharer with a desk I bought a few months ago and although it's made by a different company it's a perfect match. Huge points for that! It's also durable, the drawers slide out well and won't fall out when fully extended, the top and front are very smooth, and the workmanship is really beautiful. This item is very easy to assemble except for a rod that supports file folders. It was almost impossible to screw it down and never fully screwed it down, but that doesn't prevent the drawer from closing completely. I used the wrong holes to install it. Dan! There are two sets of holes to accommodate legal and letter files - of course I found my letter folders failed because I had to use a different set of holes. This meant the rod had to be unscrewed. No big deal, right? NOT CORRECT! This jerk, once I got him as close to a full facility as possible, wouldn't budge. Even with pliers. I ended up having to use a rubber can opener to grab the stem and hold it tight enough to twist. Everything related to the fulcrum is actually explained by a small diagram at the bottom of the guide AFTER the step that requires using the fulcrum. to be installed. If the diagram from the last page had appeared in step 11, I wouldn't have to go through all the nonsense of removing and reinstalling that damn rod. Although my fault is the first thing in the guide, it's advice to read it to the end before starting. live and learn I would happily buy it again despite the stupid fiasco with the rod. In fact, my roommate is now buying an identical setup for her office.
