This sleeve is very thin. The outside dimensions are correct, but the inside dimensions are unusual. 17 inches outside and 16.5 inside. It's 13 inches top to bottom but only 12 3/4 inside. There is only 1/4 inch padding on the sides and front, but there is no padding on the back of the case where the laptop is placed. If you drop the case, the back of the laptop absorbs most of the impact. The interior design is very good, but the side and back pads should be at least 1/2 inch thick to protect the laptop from bumps, falls and bumps. The price is nice, but since the case doesn't do what it's supposed to do, it's not a good buy. hope that helps
