I bought this reflector in March 2017. It is now October 2019. He served 2.5 years. This may impress some, but the one I bought in March 2017 should replace the one I bought 6 months earlier. ALSO on the other half of my tank I had to replace the reflector twice in the meantime. (A 20 inch reflector is only enough for a half 55 gallon aquarium). Yes, I have tried different brands. It doesn't matter, they are all made with a single use mentality. Article -- Why would such a simple article EVER go bad? Especially when someone like me works to keep it dry and clean. A lamp, yes, a real reflector. If it stays dry and clean, why would it go bad? The one I bought in March has no water stains, no dregs, no "slime".
