The back cushion is too thick and protrudes from the chair seat and the backrest does not recline forward/backward. The chair made my back sore after 2-3 hours. The pillows are very thick but too hard for me. I'm 6 feet, 180 pounds. and the chair was just hard. Structurally this is a very well made chair that is easy to assemble despite some confusion with the instructions. Elaborate instructions for backrest posts (square/round hole). The assembly/operating instructions could have been more informative. The forward lean lever is a nightmare when sitting in this chair. I had to ask someone to position the lever while I leaned back in my chair. The transition point of the lean forward to flat transition area was where I wanted the lean action to occur. In the horizontal position, the chair was hard. The chair's height adjustment feels loose and wobbly, but the adjustment range is all the way up when the handle is lifted the last half inch. You just have to press the gas bottle that adjusts the height of the chair. The armrests offer close access to the table, and the extra height of the chair is a good thing. I think it's best to always try on a chair before you buy it. Unfortunately I have to return this chair.
