Bought for skiing and brought out after a heavy snow storm. I use BootGlove (which is needed to keep your feet warm) but I loaned it to my wife that day. They kept my feet warmer than I expected, although next time I ordered a different set of BootGloves for myself. They stay up all day because they really wrap around your calves. Overall, this is a great set of warm socks for outdoor activities. And they're sticky as hell, so they won't wrap around your ankles after 10 minutes of activity. Mine didn't sleep for 8 hours and didn't fall an inch.
