They are very strong and withstand the enormous strain on my bed. I'm a single male so I had to install these risers myself. It took three attempts to fully assemble the bed. The first two times I wasn't careful enough to put the mattress back on the now looted bed frame causing the pads to tip sideways twice. It was a little annoying, but this problem is for people who don't have help. However, on the third try I was able to reattach the springs and mattress and the bed has held up ever since. seem stable, the bots should not press on the edge of the bed, otherwise the bed may tip over again. So you don't have to run and jump on the bed when installing these furniture risers. Attempting to do this could result in a nasty blow and you could potentially get injured. However, I can climb onto the bed without feeling the bed wobble, so I feel safe with these risers. I weigh about 205 pounds (+ or - about 10 pounds depending on how well I ride with my workout). In order for a person to put a queen bed on these risers, you either have to be as strong as me or stronger, or get help
