Well many reviewers said this scarf is incredibly smelly. And it was really bad. How moldy, toxic, I've never felt anything like it. Honestly I didn't think washing would change anything. But I've machine washed it twice, on a warm setting, with lots of detergent and stain/odor remover, and it worked. It turned out beautifully and wasn't ruined by two long machine washes. He's nice and soft. But holy cow, just open the bag right in front of the washing machine. And please NEVER give this as a gift without a few hours of washing in the washing machine. You need to fix that smell.
