I was between this and Audio Control's more expensive LC2i, but because of the minimalist amp/subwoofer I installed in my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, I decided to try it first for $11 to try. All I can say is it does what it's supposed to and is small and compact enough to hide under the door sill. I still use a factory head unit which tends to roll off low frequencies when connected to speakers for signal transmission. To get around this, use one of these. Using KISLOC allows me to connect the amp via RCA, eliminating any low frequencies that may have been clipped by the stock HU. With this small device I get all frequencies without attenuation.
