Many bottles are advertised as "leakproof". So far this is the only product with this upper that has exceeded expectations. I've used Contigo retractable straws, but as soon as they fall into a beach bag, it's all over. I've never leaked it and I really like the top of the pants! Two downsides I've found: (1) Hand washing is a bit awkward and I've noticed some peeling of the matte finish along the bottom edge. (2) In my experience, mixed drinks (Crystal Lite etc.) leave their scent in the bottle/cap unless you rinse it out with very hot water. However, this is an easy fix! (and I don't intend to do it again 😅) Overall: great bottle, would buy again!
