Batteries lasted all of December and I hung them up in November. Costs money. I don't have an outlet on the porch. So I love the battery. It was ours in the rain, snow and ice. Never stopped working. I put the dough back into the resealable ziplock bag, but I couldn't seal the bag. So he got a little wet, but even then he didn't stop worrying. Lots of different settings. timer and saves energy. You can buy rechargeable batteries and help the environment. So no electricity needs to be consumed. Easy to wrap around my porch. I actually still have it and use it. As of today, January 10, 2021, the batteries are still working.
