We wanted to learn how to make cupcakes in ice cream cones. I found this coaster and after watching the tutorial we thought we could do it and ordered this coaster. It arrived on time and was well packaged. We washed and dried by hand. We put it on a baking sheet and loaded waffle cones into it. It seems to wobble when you put it on the baking sheet. But as soon as the dents are in - it stays! Remove everything but a rack from the oven. The stand with spigot is very high. Each cone took a tablespoon and a half of batter. The recipe we used said to cook at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. It didn't go that fast for us. I used a toothpick to test and it was closer to 15-16 minutes. We dipped them in Wilton caramel paste! Then top with white Wilton frosting to make them look like ice cream. Then I added Candy Dot. That was a nice New Year's Eve! They're delicious and not as much fun as a piece of cake. We hand washed the stand and put it away. We used regular waffle cones with a big hole on top. Next time we'll try cones with a smaller hole at the top. I think they'll sit a little better on the counter. Waffle cones should not be refrigerated, so don't prepare them ahead of time. Also, I don't know how to transport the cones we made without breaking them. Even if I left them in the stand I would have to hold them all the way and I don't know how to cover them. I have treat bags but I'm afraid they won't work without breaking them. This will only be a treat at house parties for now. I'm still happy with this purchase. I added that even with the coaster, we made 12 cones for under $20 total! I think next time we make these cones it'll be $7! Nice - quick and cheap dessert!
