My daughter is in Ninja class where it's good to have rubber soled shoes. Most shoes these days are made of white foam. It's much better when she's walking up the wall and stuff like that. I bought them normal size and they fit great. She doesn't wear them every day, but the material seems to be of a better quality than the cheaper no-name sneakers you can buy (she usually wears them to school and they wear out quickly!).
