So this tip really is a big improvement. I mainly write and paint. It's pretty, accurate, accurate and smooth. It doesn't feel like you're writing on glass like a regular nib does. I use adhesive paper and ESR protective glass. Both work very well with this tip. Unless someone improves on this design, I've stopped at this point, to search for apple pencil tips. I will say this as a warning. My 4 year old grabbed it and scratched the paper, not from using the pen but from the plastic bit poking into it. So be aware that the matte finish can get scratched if you get into a big corner. Just something to note.
