Review on Barefoot Bungalow Peacock Quilt 3 Piece by Kelly Zitzner

I have 2 dogs* who love lounging on my bed, so I always keep a "dog blanket" to protect the bedding from their fur. I bought this blanket (returned but brand new) for this purpose. I love peacocks and the colors seemed very pretty on the internet. I've read it's poly/microfiber and being firmly in the all cotton camp I had little expectation for its comfort or quality. I ordered a king bed for my pocket double bed extra deep because I wanted the fringe to dust on the floor. I was pleasantly surprised at how soft this blanket is. The colors are strong and really soft. The background is dark gold, with darker spots imitating an old painting. Because I bought a larger size, the peacock is not properly centered on the bed. I knew that when I bought it. It's not far away and doesn't bother me at all. The fringes (after 2 washes) don't shed as much as I've read. I expected white threads everywhere. no The duvet itself is thin. Given the nature of the fabric, it wouldn't drape properly if it had a thicker center. If necessary, I put on a blanket. No deal killer. Overall I am delighted with this blanket. I paid about $75 for it and saw it advertised at that size for over $100. I wouldn't appreciate a higher price but I'm very happy with what I paid. It arrived well packaged and corresponds to the description. It was definitely a good buy. I will update my review if anything changes. * The 2 dogs shown in the attached photo have my approval despite their change of fur.
