Review on Rockwell 6C Gunmetal Razor by Scott Bailey

Quality razor, best for beginners.

later If you don't want a cartridge razor and want to get into wet shaving with a safety razor, buy this one. Buy your first, it can be intimidating. Some razors are very soft and won't give you a close shave, while others can cut you with their aggressiveness. Everyone's face and hair is different, so finding your personal Goldilocks razor can be frustrating. I have spent money on razors in the past which have been terrible to me. With adjustable plates from 1# for super soft to 6# for very aggressive, you can install the plate that suits you. It's like having six razors in one. The reason I say this is the best razor for beginners is because the plates are numbered lower. The #1 razor is so soft it seems impossible to cut yourself. However, it doesn't seem to cut well. If you had long hair you might do it, but I shave almost every day so it didn't work out. On the other hand, license plate number 2# works pretty well. I still have a hard time getting cut, but I shave surprisingly clean. No childish smooth ass, but still enjoys being in public. This is the PERFECT beginner's plate so you can master the technique without the risk of ruining your face. Once you are happy with your process transfer yourself to number 3# and so on. This is my favorite blade as it allows me to get a close and comfortable shave without the risk of cutting myself. Maybe when I get better I'll switch to more aggressive 4#, 5# and 6# plates. I also recommend that beginners try different sets of razor blades. They are sold here on Revain and other websites. Get the pack and find your perfect blade. I personally shave well with Astra SP and Derby Extras but as I said everyone is different so the classic "your mileage may vary” or just YMVP you see on shaving forums definitely applies.
