First, connecting the cable to my Oculus Quest 2 works exactly as intended. However, the cable is really only intended for two purposes: ease of use and operation. The design of the cable ends makes life a lot harder than it needs to be. Each cable is a smooth, totally smooth USB-C tip and plugs into the headset fairly firmly. When I unplugged the cable from the headset, there was absolutely no friction or tension around the connector. Since it's set in so tightly that it's also impossible to shift it with your fingers. I ended up trying to unplug it from the headset for about 3 minutes, which is 2 minutes and 58 seconds longer than anyone to unplug the cord. I used the headphone cord to slip in and under so I could eventually pull it out.
