What if you need a crossover cable but can't find it? You don't need it very often, but when you do, it's usually a dire situation. I couldn't think of a good trick to keep the crossover cable handy. When I need it, I can't figure out where I put it. I've made this cable with my own hands so many times that I don't want to think about it. It's so easy I bought a few extra ones and gave them to my co-workers. Much better solution than full cable. This was tested by connecting two computers together and there were no communication problems between them.
