Review on πŸ‘” SAS Safety Cotton Coverall 6938: Optimal Protection and Comfort by Troy Arnold

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor quality materials and construction

This product will not last long. The nylon is very thin and will tear at the seams after a second gentle hand wash. The cotton backing is so thin and chintz that you can see through if you help out the light. (See attached photo.) There are no velcro straps on the wrists and ankles, just velcro. It does not secure the fabric properly as the slippery nylon webbing slips out from under the Velcro leaving large gaps for pollen, dust etc to get in. Considering the fragility of the nylon webbing an elasticated cuff would be more effective. The seller, Promax America, refused returns and refunds on the grounds that it was a non-returnable medical product. The product description at the time of purchasing this item did NOT describe it as a protective medical suit. It was a vinyl suit. The manufacturer's description on their website does not mention that this coverall provides adequate medical protection. According to the manufacturer, it is "for use in vehicle trim, maintenance/service, painting, cleaning and in contaminated areas" and "to protect clothing from dirt, paint and dust". (sassafety.com/protective-wear/overalls) If you require medical protective gear, you can examine the item carefully and ask the manufacturer to send you a written statement as to how this product has or has not been tested as a protective medical overall. Protecting clothing from paint, dust and dirt is very different from protecting the human body from germs, viruses, bodily fluids and other biological contaminants. About $40 for a poorly tailored, skinny jumpsuit that only fits a sock or two is a waste of money. Money. There are other disposable coveralls that are much cheaper.
