Pretty but… good for bowls

I love my plates...they are beautiful and go well with my other dishes. I bought them to take a salad or other ready meal to work. They're porcelain which I was a bit worried about but don't you know I broke one already... so there were 3 of them :/. This was after I had made spaghetti the week before and although they heated up well the stain on the top (which I can't wash in the dishwasher) just didn't come out. I've tried to avoid small plastic takeout containers due to the BPA warning, but they're just damn handy. So I'll keep using my pretty salad bowls and see what happens with the chicken noodle soup. And then... back to the drawing board.
