Unbelievable when you get the right size

To be honest when I first tried it I thought all the reviews were lying to me and I wasted my money. The sound was thin and tinny; Honestly, it sounded worse than a regular free pair of headphones. I was about to return these things when I decided I should try the other tips that came with them and maybe experiment with wearing them "wire down" instead of "wire up" wrapped around the ear like I do usually do. And what to do? Do you know? Wearing with the largest wide bore silicone tip (as opposed to a tip with a smaller center hole) changed the world. (I usually always wear a medium sized top, but for some reason I found the largest size to be best this time). I'm not a music lover so I can't explain it from a technical point of view - just saying that the music sounds amazing with them. Ultra-clear, superb separation - they're not too boomy in the bass and not too shrill in the highs. No need for an amp or anything, even streaming music on your phone sounds great. They're comfortable and isolate noise pretty well (as evidenced by my co-workers, who yell at me every time I wear them to the office). Unlike other headphones I've tried, they don't have any issues with the mic (cable makes grinding noises, rustles on shirt, or increases heartbeat). Any complaints? My main issue is that the wire isn't straight and seems to have a bend near the earcup, specifically to allow you to wear the wire over your ear. You can still wear it with the wires dangling, but the bend in the wire sticks out a little from your face and looks pretty weird. (You can use a spring-loaded wire under the chin to tighten the wire a bit and make it less fun.) If you prefer to wear it with a wire, note that the braid on the cord can also irritate your ears. Other than that, it's a solid, attractive pair of phones that sound great and won't break the bank. I would easily compare them to my Klipsch x10s which also sound great but cost a lot more. This is definitely a win-win purchase.
