Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Olympus Stylus Tough 6020: 14 MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide-Angle Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD Screen (Black) - Professional-Quality Imaging in Rugged Style by Nick Nigerson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Instructions are very lacking.

I like the camera BUT. You better be a telepath to understand how to control it. This is my fourth digital camera in the last 10 years. I'm not an idiot. The directive consisted of one page written in a dozen languages. Arabic and Chinese among others. It starts with "Connect your camera to your computer and download the software". Which software? Here is nothing! His firmware is in the camera and it's already there. (Checked at Olympus) And no computer is required. Icons and settings? MY GOD. More than a tripod can wobble. There are three ways to press the record button. There is one photo per click. And more than one photo per click. And third, "Faster" than more than one click. The third setting is to hold the button down and it will take photos continuously. Yeah right. I installed a 14GB class 10 memory card. Class-10 is the fastest card. You cannot see the difference in the speed of the photos taken. Slowly, very slowly. What is the real difference between; "Automatically optimizes camera settings based on shooting conditions" and "Camera automatically adjusts based on the scene." There are 11 scene modes and 21 scene modes. There are three underwater modes. Close-up, landscape and action. Does this camera do anything automatically? CONCLUSION: Good for the money, shoots underwater, small and shockproof. The surgery makes it worse.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Fits
