Review on πŸ“š Set of 8 Sesame Street Elmo Manners Books for Kids & Toddlers by Toby Galbraith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

3 out of 8 books don't teach what titles there are

These books are thin but I'm not complaining because I will be reading my husband's grandson who is a baby and he is a baby respects doesn't wait that sometimes a page or two is thrown at us before he wants to get down and play with toys. So basically I think a thin story book would be perfect for him. The main reason I gave it a 3 is because 3 of these 8 books as shown in the picture I took for these 3 books the title doesn't fit the story or they don't explain quite correctly what it is means to be a friend or to be polite and/or how to use "please" and "thank you" correctly. For example, the book Bitte und Dank uses "please" and "thank you" only once, but no suggestion on how to use the two words properly, and because "please" and "thank you" were used only after the rest of the book was one page on how to apologize and another on how to take turns, but not really about please and thank you, so I think this book should have had a different title. Now to the book Be a Friend. I felt like this book just teaches kids to be nice, yes we should be nice to our friends or other people, but it doesn't really explain what it's like to be a friend. As for the Be Polite book, it doesn't explain anything, for example, these are the first two pages of the Be Polite book. Cookie, cookie, cookie eater doesn't like to hit. (page 2) and when you start chewing and chewing, please keep your mouth closed! Each sentence doesn't say it's rude or polite, so I'll have to add it as I read. But the other 5 books that I think fit the titles eventually get them to a 1-3 year old kid so when he is 4 I can buy the best books on manners. But I'll leave it at 3 stars because, as I said, three books doesn't really teach what a title is.
