Review on Philips QP230 50 Oneblade Replacement by Dana Black

Break down competing reviews here by price and blade life

This is one of the best electric razors I have ever owned. Many reviews here complain about replacement blades, both for the price and for how long they last - 1. Yes, replacement blades are expensive, but as with all razors today, whether manual or electric, it's a business model and has been for a decade. You knew about this when you entered this market, but now you're complaining? You can always go back to cheap disposable razors that can last a week and leave your face feeling like a big rash. Don't buy a product if you know how the industry works and then complain. m2nd- Lots of complaints that replacement blades don't last long. Well the answer is yes and no. What people may not know is that not everyone has the same type of facial hair. If you have a thick head of hair (with thicker strands of hair), then your facial hair is likely to be thick as well. yes, in this case the blades will wear out faster because the thicker the bristles, the faster the blade will dull. Not unlike the fact that a chainsaw blade will wear faster when you're cutting hickory rather than the softer aspen wood. If you have fine hair, it's the other way around - you're more likely to have fine, soft facial hair that's easier to apply to the blades. making them last longer. In fact, thicker bristles will wear down these blades faster than finer facial hair. My facial hair falls somewhere in between and these blades last at least 3-4 weeks before I need to change them. Also, don't let your facial hair grow out for more than 3 days (unless you grow a beard, etc.). . The shorter the bristles, the lighter they lie on the blade, which increases its lifespan. I hope this helps people differentiate between competing reviews here. Overall, this Phillips shaving set is way better than others I've tried over the years.
