Very thick material so I'm not sure if it stretches well. If your child is taller, I would probably recommend going up to the next size up. My daughter hates wearing anything tight and the belt is a little stretchy but difficult to stretch. So if your child likes it a little looser and closer to the next size up, go for size 1.
