Very transparent and completely disappears when you pop the bubbles. I have to say it's not easy to use but if you watch the video and do exactly what it says including laying the tablet on a damp towel and allowing the iPad to cool down after turning it off. At first I thought I wouldn't use the articulated approach, but then I watched the video and decided it looked simpler than just a "wing". The hinged approach allows you to test the layout before gluing. You need to make sure that the iPad screen is absolutely clean and dust free. Go slowly while peeling off the backing and then flip it over as directed. Using the tool provided, extrude outwards from the center using fairly firm pressure. Lift edges to remove bubbles. It's a completely clean shelter when you're done. It won't prevent fingerprints, but it wasn't said it would. Only matte protective films prevent smearing and cloud the picture a bit. This HD protection is clear as advertised.
