They sounded great with my SONY Walkman, especially at a reduced price. They have a seemingly pointless switch on the left side of the cable that looks like a volume control but does nothing. I contacted their support team regarding this but they didn't help (they answered but didn't seem to be able to understand my question). Unfortunately, after a few uses at the gym, the left earcup and its cable flew off the top of the useless switch for no apparent reason; Assuming their support team would do nothing, I unplugged it, removed the wires, and tried reconnecting the bare wires. useless; now they are garbage. Very disappointing. This hasn't happened to me with any other headphones, but none had a broken volume knob in the middle of the left wire. Bad design and useless bug that ruined a great headphone. By the way, this is NOT noise reduction, but noise isolation. Others can't hear your music, but unless you want to go deaf, you can't rule out noise at the gym.
