Review on πŸ“ Superior Grain-Free Chicken Dinner: Simply Perfect Super Premium by Ericka Kuhn

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great ingredients though.

I have five indoor cats that eat mostly dry food (canned Fancy Feast is a once a day treat). Since I feed them for free and have a hard time agreeing on anything, it took me a while to settle on two brands - Purina One and Rachael Ray's Nutrish. While I know they're a little more nutritious than cheap brands like Whiskas and Meow Mix, I always look forward to finding a quality grain-free formula that everyone enjoys. We had no luck with IAM and Blue Buffalo so I decided to give it a try. First let me say that everything looks fantastic on paper. 32% crude protein plus many important vitamins, minerals and amino acids. The first two ingredients are chicken and chicken meat (I don't know exactly what the difference is and I'm not sure I want to know), and most of the other ingredients look just as recognizable and attractive (e.g. turkey meat , potatoes, chickpeas, linseed). dry egg, etc.). It contains no grains, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. All is well. Problem is, none of my cats like it. I think it's like raising your kids at McDonald's and then expecting them to suddenly switch to a whole foods diet. In other words, the fault is probably all mine, but whatever the reason, I don't think I'll be buying a bag of these any time soon. But don't let my experience stop you. If your cats are already eating [and enjoying] one of the other premium brands, you might want to give this a try.
