Disappointment

This amp has a lot of power but the sound quality is terrible in my opinion. It just has a very punchy sound in the mids and highs, which makes it very difficult to enjoy listening for a long time. I used this amp to drive a DIY Bluetooth speaker project using Tang Band W3-2141 drivers. There was more than enough power for these 12-watt RMS speakers, but the sound quality just wasn't pleasing no matter how hard I cranked the bass and treble. Another thing I don't like about this amp is that Bluetooth stays on. all the time even if you turn off the device by turning the volume knob all the way down until it clicks. The only way turning it off completely is to disconnect it from the network. Obviously it's not ideal if you're using it in a battery-powered app. When you connect your phone to it, it stays connected. So if you're in range, you won't get any sound from your phone unless you manually disconnect it from Bluetooth or unplug it from the amp. The device appears to be working properly. So I don't understand why other reviewers haven't complained about the sound quality. I suppose some people just don't notice it, but for me it has such an uncomfortable harshness that I just can't use it. I didn't complain about the sound quality. I guess some people just don't notice but to me it has such a wicked hardness that I just can't use it. I didn't complain about the sound quality. I suppose some people just don't notice it, but for me it has such an uncomfortable harshness that I just can't use it.
