so in short my order didn't work. It's entirely possible that this is user error, but when I mounted it on the wall and plugged it into an outlet, nothing happened. I tried for a long time to get it working, even bought watch batteries to replace the remote control batteries, but nothing. I ended up returning them as they didn't catch fire and removing them from the wall resulted in minimal paint removal so that's nice. Overall they're probably good for the price, and I most likely got a broken one, but it worked out in the end.
