Review on Nikon Z50 Camera Kit with Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR Lens - Black by Adam uciuk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

The camera, although not withoutcommpromises and disadvantages, in my opinion, came out very, very worthy. From my point of view, this is the first reallycomnvenient mirrorless crop camera, with an acceptable price, devoid of serious flaws. It is verycomnvenient to use it. A huge park of optics is immediately available, and Nikon F glasses work just as well as Nikon Z glasses, so it doesn’t even make sense tocomnsider them “non-native”. The picture quality of the camera is very good, even in difficultcomnditions. At the same time, its price is quite acceptable, and its shortcomings are not so critical. I will boldly recommend the Nikon Z50 to those who ask me for advice on buying a new camera. Clearly, the future of the camera market is mirrorless. The old mounts are becoming a thing of the past and now it certainly makes more sense to buy cameras with the new mounts, and not so long ago I had a real problem with what advice Icomuld give to people looking for a new mid-range camera. The appearance of this chamber resolves all these difficulties. The pictures have had their camera model changed in EXIF so they can be developed in DXO, so don't be surprised if EXIF says they were taken on the D7500. Read more in my big camera review at

Pros
  • • Excellent grip with which the hand does not get tired even with heavy lenses • Z-mount compatible with Nikon Z full-frame lenses • Short working distance allows you to put any lenses • Magnesium skeleton inside making the camera strong • Dust-moisture-protection • Big nice 3.2 inch flip screen • Touch screen with full touch control (it can be disabled) • Excellent EVI, large, informative and very high quality • Comfortable operation, perhaps the best for such a small camera • Applicable ISO up to 12800 • Large dynamic range, both shadows and highlights stretch • AF sensors cover almost the entire frame • AF operation in Live View is the same as AF through the viewfinder • Autofocus with automatic eye tracking • Very well working auto white balance • Series 11 fps • Completely silent mode • Full compatibility with Nikon F optics via FTZ adapter
Cons
  • • Upper shutter speed limit 1/4000 • Sufficiently long camera start, 1-1.5 seconds • AF tracking is still slightly weaker than the D7500 and D500 • Burst buffer 30 frames - could be more • No matrix stabilizer
