How Different Can a Category 6 Ethernet Cable Be? I bought this one because it was the cheapest. and got what i deserved for it. I spent half an hour running this cable from the ISP box in my garage, through the floor to my basement, through my basement, then into the fireplace room and finally into my living room. I connected it to my Orbi and started my devices. Even though I have over 300Mbps throughput, my network was degrading and I suddenly couldn't get over 100Mbps. I couldn't understand what happened. I checked the WiFi connection, the router and even the plug. and then I isolated it from the cable. I pulled out my phone, read the negative reviews and was angry. As some others have pointed out (but I missed it), it's not Category 6, despite what it says on the cable. It will "work", but not at the expected level. Buyers be careful. --- Pros --- It's a 50ft white flat ethernet cable --- Cons --- It's not Cat 6 and doesn't transfer data at up to 1000Mbps -- I spent two extra days trying to waiting for a cable replacement and an extra hour of running cables through my walls
