Used as an extension on the MacBook Pro to the USB-C hub, which works fine without this extension, but external hard drives sometimes show up with it, mostly not, but it works through HDMI and PD. This happens on 4 different hubs which otherwise work fine without the extension. I'm not sure if I have a defect or USB-C is too finicky to take the extension. Of course it doesn't work for me.
