Nice and *cheap* LED string light with multiple options and dimmer

- First thing to note is the string light has multiple colors of LEDs just like incandescent lights have single color lights - so this is NOT a string where each LED has multiple has colors. In some reviews I read about this model, it seemed to me that this caused confusion. I guess there are *some* items that have multiple LEDs in each "bulb" but of course that will increase the price significantly. Hey, it's always easy to find things that cost a lot of money when someone wants them and can afford them. - The radio control works, but not so well from the house and through the brick. Also, I have timers and the "program" seems to default to "option 1", which I think is far from a circus of one rapidly blinking pattern after another. I prefer a slow fade. If I can move well enough to climb the ladder tonight, I'll see if using the *key* to adjust the setting "sticks". - I bought three sets, and one controller can control all sets, so basically I have two spares. - I particularly like that the controller has a dimming function. These aren't the brightest LEDs I've ever had (I have a chain that I never use because it looks like a chain of friggin' airport landing lights, Holy Evil Neighbors, Batman!), but it's still nice, the brightness to be able to customize. Brightness appropriate to the situation :) - And yes, the "balls" are some kind of plastic, but they seem pretty solid because I laid out the strings on the concrete patio and stepped on one (oops! it didn't break - which was impressive LOL!They are translucent, white and have a 'matte' texture that softens the light and makes it look bigger than a mere LED would. They actually look like the product photo: glowing spheres .I liked the way the photo looked so I tried it.I like it.- The cable is a "silver" (probably aluminium) wire in a transparent tube/"coating", quite thick, ie protective. In daylight it's thinner than solid white or solid green My siding is tan hardboard and tan brick so I like that they go well together - If anything 'bad' happens I'll reconsider my review , but overall I'm totally satisfied with this purchase :).
