This booth is amazing! This is a VERY STRONG stand. I would give 6 stars if it was available. You have to use both hands to adjust the height and angle, but you won't be afraid of it collapsing or not holding your laptop. Holding a heavy textbook shouldn't be a problem either. It's pretty light, but I don't move it that much. I bought it to elevate my webcam (instead of using 4 coffee tables) for zoom meetings and it works like a charm! The base is solid and flat, which is nice - just in case you need to put some papers underneath while you work. I'm just disappointed that I didn't know and bought it sooner. You will not be disappointed with your purchase. I bought the silver color (clear and smooth) as my laptop is silver. It would be great to see this in other colors as well.
