Was hoping it would be a good buy; However, this quickly turned into a nightmare. As soon as I received it, I switched to an open-toe sole. No instructions were given so I had to search the internet for instructions. As soon as I changed the soles, I started using them. Within minutes this resulted in skipped stitches and the sole kept popping out. I checked everything again - dressing, bobbin, needle. I even cleaned it. None of this fixed the problem. In addition, the racks on the base do not work sequentially or synchronously. Ultimately this resulted in the broken needle and part of my sewing machine falling off! Looks like I'll bring it to the store. This foot is not a good value because it does not work and causes damage. Lesson learned - only use Bernina replacement parts and accessories!
