Review on 🐠 Dream On Me Karley Aqua Bassinet by Stephen Lunn

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The disadvantages far outweigh the advantages.

We used this bassinet for my son until he started to roll over (3.5 months). Simply put, my son hated this bassinet. and I can't help but agree. Pros: β€’ The frame is solid and looks well made. β€’ Supports loads up to 25 lbs. The teal yellow design we bought says it can hold 25 pounds. ** This is the only reason we bought this bassinet. ** Cons: β€’ "mattress cover" - complete crap. It's so thin it's almost like sleeping on a blanket on the floor. We folded two beach towels together and tucked them tightly under the mat to make him more comfortable. Even back then he used to get excited every time we put him in this thing and he's the lightest baby in the world. It was our first signal that something was wrong. β€’ This company does not have replacement pillows or other mattress pads. β€’ After the pad itself had been washed for a month, it began to stick together inside the pad. It got so bad I had to cut the sides of the upholstery lining and straighten/stretch it back. The pad is made of very cheap foam and leaves sand marks on your hands. β€’ Sheets offered for purchase with this bassinet (additional $9) shriveled after 3 washes and became unusable. β€’ A canopy is useless if for some reason you don't have your newborn outdoors in a bassinet. camping maybe? But even so, trying to take it somewhere outside the home seems inconvenient. When you buy this bassinet add an oval bassinet mattress (there is only one type that fits and it is not made by this company). ) and waterproof foil (if available) in the basket. Both of these will cost you about as much or as much as the bassinet itself. If you have a large baby like us, you might be able to use it for 3 months before the baby gets too big. Our baby started riding when he was 3 months old. Although we only bought this carrier because it weighs 25 pounds, unforeseeable factors (baby's size and mobility ability) meant we couldn't use it for this purpose. We switched to Graco Pack n Play. If I had known then what I know now, I would have saved us about $100. This bassinet isn't worth the price, the adjustments/accessories needed, or the hassle if you ask us.
