Only the exterior of the tank is made of stainless steel; the body is made of plastic. In the earlier model of the Philips water level indicator, the casing was made of stainless steel, while the water level glass was made of plastic. After some time, the metal-plastic joint started to leak at the border. The vendor on Amazon stated that their brand is the only one that is still shipping to Europe.
