My daughter is 7 years old, she is very tall for her age. Her normal dress size is 7/8 in shirts. I bought a small one and it fits very well. Not like a normal 7/8 shirt with growth room. But it fits her like a regular 7 with very little room to grow if that makes sense! I thought I ordered medium but came small and it looked really small but I asked her to try it on and it fits perfectly so we're happy with that. She usually has more room to grow, but I'm happy with what suits her.
