stitch and thickness was just what I was looking for. I ordered grey, a nice warm gray with a hint of taupe. I liked it so much that I immediately bought the right runner. I am planning to buy red for Christmas. Note: They wash perfectly, don't shrink and don't frizz! Honestly, I thought they looked even better after washing. There was more pomp and detail in the quilting.
