I applied them yesterday, just read the instructions at first, I felt a bit overwhelmed, but once you've got it done some nails you think you'd get the hang of. I also used a timer on my phone to keep track of drying time, but after two minutes of the final drying of the top coat you can use your hands as usual. I had acrylic nails for a few months a few years ago and this is basically what they look like; They're thick and very hard, so they're definitely different from regular nail polish. I've also watched YouTube videos on how to remove them and it looks basically the same as removing gel or acrylic by soaking them in acetone. Some of my nails bulge a little on the first try and my thumb even broke off at the corner. but i was able to fix it. I think it's definitely noticeable, but because it's shiny it's not that noticeable, and only I see flaws. However, I think it was mostly user error on my first try as it was the first nail I did and its first dip was pretty bad (I hesitated a few seconds to dip it after applying the base coat , so that it is half dry). I think now that I know more about what I'm doing my next attempt will be smoother, but even this attempt looks good. My mom has had acrylic nails for a few years and she touched them in the car yesterday. I can finish painting her nails if she lets me and see if it goes better. 1. It's not my first time anymore and 2. I'm doing it in someone else's hands so I'm sure it will be a lot better anyway. Overall I am very happy with this set. I have pretty heavy hands and do a lot of farming, gardening and training so I'm curious to see how long the nails will last and will update if there's anything worth mentioning. If these assholes hold out until the end of this week when we cut down trees and build a barn, I'll be impressed. I'm not going to throw away my regular nail polishes, but I'll probably add more colors of this variety.
