I was going to use this as part of a PC speaker setup and it sounded great, but I can't use it due to the very loud static that occurs when there's no sound playing . I tested it with two different speaker sets (Polk and Sony) and a subwoofer (and no subwoofer connected) with the line in completely disabled - no cable was connected to R IN/L IN at all. Since the unit still sounds good for the price, I'm going to keep it for myself and rebuild it for use in my garage. I don't care about idle static there :)
