The concept is pretty good - a battery powered LED night light that can be used as an emergency light in the event of a power failure. The size is a little big, but when plugged into an outlet, another outlet remains available. There is a photocell sensor at the top so the night light turns off when the room is bright. Below is a white LED night light pointing down. There are 3 white LEDs on the front, which provide sufficient light. On one side is a switch that selects "On, Auto, or Off" and on the other side is a switch that selects 3 LED face light, night light, or both. The nice thing is that the battery charges while it is hanging. on the wall and that the night light or flashlight function works with or without electricity from the socket. This makes it a good addition when there are occasional storms that can cause a power outage. Judging by the description, the light lasts for hours (probably in night light mode) - this is the advantage of LED lamps. Constant speed regardless of charger condition. This tends to limit battery life to a year or two. Hope the batteries are interchangeable.
