I needed more salt for the dishwasher and after calculating the cost per box with postage it turned out to be a good bargain. But when I threw away the last Miele box, I didn't realize how much smaller these boxes are. It's probably still a good price, but not as good as it sounds! I'm debating whether to use it or not - I have very hard water (ph 8.3 or so) and have been diligently adding salt when the little red light stays on. My rather expensive Miele dishwasher still looks like new after a year and a half. And the lime stains on the objects I urinate in (cat bowls) have gradually disappeared.
