My boyfriend loves this watch. surprise gift. Perfect style, size, tone, quality and value. Does not conflict with any of her accessories or jewelry. I thought of solar panels and automation, but went for it because of the functionality of the day and date and also because of the reliability of the battery. Elegant and unobtrusive. I wish the hands contrasted better with the dial. The length of the strap is easily adjustable at the store for $10. Setting the time, day of the week, and date so they stay current is fairly easy once you find that turning the crown stem away from you does something different than it does towards you. Also, make sure the time of day you set matches the time the clock is counting. The watchmaker also advised against setting the watch before or just after midnight. The clock minds its own business, so leave it alone. Setting the date of the beginning of the month is something you would expect from almost any watch with a date display, and it is easy to do. Just think about what time of day you do it. Days do not need to be set if you set them correctly first. We are both happy with this watch.
