I bought a real Columbia belt in this design about 5 years ago at Gander Mtn. It lasted over 4 years of daily wear. I think I paid about $40 at the time. When I saw this I thought hey! that's my belt! So I ordered one, what a great price. Well, of course it's a fake! You faked it well, if you didn't have the real thing next to you you'd never know. First, it's about 2 inches shorter (I bought both sizes 44) than the real thing. Where I use the 3rd or 4th hole on the real one, here I use the 1st or 2nd hole. The buckle on the fake is a little thinner. , and the casting is not as clear and clean as the real one. And finally the killer materials. The real leather, although not super leather. Fake faux leather or chopped leather and glue maybe? plastic can? Decent safety belt. I will not return it. It's not as good as the original, but it's not as expensive either. You get what you pay for and you get fakes when you buy here from third party sellers.
