Review on Sizzix Bigz Die Half Square Triangles Scrapbooking & Stamping by Angela Rodriguez

Always the perfect cut.

Love these step dies. I wish they were sold in my big stores like they sell other Sizzix stamps. I love that I can use the under 6 inch ones on my Big Kick, Big Shot or Vagabond and avoid the expense of an expensive Big Shot Pro. At least for now! I have cut tons of fabric and I have cut up to 8 layers that are said to be cut and it cuts through fabric so easily. And also. Gone are those pesky ends on hand-cut triangles! Perfect ends ensure perfect alignment and when you sew your patchwork it's perfect. Have I said "perfect" enough times? You'll love how your "glasses" will be on every block you sew. You will look like a pro! I have all the templates and slicing cutters but this makes creating these parts very quick and accurate. Again, remember that you can only buy 6" wide dies (you CAN use long 25" dies if you buy 25" spacers as long as the die is 6" wide) unless you have Big Shot Pro, then you can use it all stamps. Shame they weren't that expensive - only downside is they appear to be made like other Sizzix Bigz stamps. The price prohibits me from buying more of these stamps, but for me it's worth it as I don't throw away expensive fabric because of a bad cut. BEFORE you cut the fabric on the die cutter, think about how you can cut out the entire piece of fabric to avoid too much waste. I found that I cut the strips to a length of fabric 1/2 wider than the mold size (i.e. for a 4" half square I cut a 4 1/2" strip) and over and over again fold the die until i have it will be 8 layers. Then cut it off. Finally, keep a pair of scissors nearby so if the thread gets stuck here and there after you cut it, you can cut it and NOT tear it off.
