Nice piece of leather for the price. With a bit of refinement this will make a good slingshot
As sold it's a good thick piece of cowhide, but as a slingshot straight out of the box it doesn't cut it. It's covered in paint and has too smooth a surface, which doesn't make it as good as a sling. It's TOO smooth. After some work with shaving soap, nothing special just some Williams shaving soap and a nail brush, then let dry and then wipe off with a SMALL amount of Neatsfoot oil and it's now a good quality sling.
