I am a 5’2” 140 pound lady. In normal clothes, I wear a L top and M bottom. I hate when my buttons gap open on my shirts, so I ordered a petite large. The petite was a stroke of genius. Unwashed, the cuffs hit my knuckles at the base of my fingers and the pants splashed over my slippers. After washing in cool water and drying on medium, the cuffs are exactly at wrist length and the bottoms are just below my ankle. Perfect!As for width, these are really big. I have a good extra six inches across the torso. I could easily have gone for a size medium (as the manufacturer suggested). However, I hate tight jammies. As long as I can cinch the waist, I’m good. Incidentally,the combo of elastic and drawstring is good, but I’d like more elastic to tighten the waist. The drawstring is a pretty white bow, They should show it in the pictures.mThe weight is nice, similar to a light flannel. Because it’s coat style, I can wear it with a tank, tshirt, or long sleeve t and add the coat, buttoned or unbuttoned, for warmth. Cotton pjs are hard to find, and I love these.
