It came and started the computer full of pictures and music that I didn't have access to before because the old cable was worn out and didn't work anymore. The computer was idle for over 5 years so I really gambled. It supercharged and allowed me to move files to a new computer and I was finally able to get rid of the dinosaur. It gets very hot, but not so hot that I turn it off. All in all, for a relatively small price, I have recovered a treasure trove of music and images that I thought I had lost forever. I wish I had tried that sooner.
