I am a DIY enthusiast and have used a DeWalt corded hammer drill on previous projects. I began to be afraid to drill into the concrete slab of my house as it was very slow and noisy leaving me with dull drill bits and numb hands. On a recent kitchen remodeling project, I had to drill a lot of anchor sleeves into a concrete slab. Concrete - Armed with my old DeWalt and a new Bosch masonry drill, I set about drilling the holes - after 15 minutes I had barely drilled a hole and my new drill was worn to the bone. At this point after some research I decided I needed a hammer drill - from there I quickly realized that the SDS Plus model was the one for me and I liked the features of this Bosch RH432VCQ model. For the last few weeks I can only say that this tool is excellent! The Bosch rock drill drills through my concrete like butter - I put 2 boxes of anchor sleeves in it and I don't think the drill has even started to dull. Drilling each hole takes about 10 seconds. I've also used it to grab floor tiles with a tile and wood chisel and drill a 1.5" diameter hole through 6" of wood to install a new gas line - it handles it all with ease. I wish I had bought earlier
